FIRST ART GRADE

Introduction to First Grade Art
In our first-grade art curriculum, students embark on a foundational journey. They explore fundamental concepts like line, symmetry, object proportions, tone, visual perspective, light, shadow, and color harmonies. Additionally, they gain initial skills in working with diverse materials such as pencil, gouache, ink, and more. This immersive experience paves the way for creative expression and sets the stage for artistic growth.
SECOND ART GRADE

In our second-grade art curriculum, students further develop their skills with diverse materials and expand their color palette. They gain confidence in constructing rectangular and cylindrical shapes using dual vanishing points. Embracing a holistic view of nature, students learn to capture essential elements. The exploration of materiality and sculpting forms in tone and color enhances their artistic toolkit. Sketching dressed figures with character and proportions adds depth to their expertise. Additionally, students dive into decorative techniques, applied arts, and the global tapestry of artistic culture. This grade is a stepping stone towards elevated artistic proficiency.

THIRD ART GRADE

As students progress into the third grade of our art curriculum, they refine their capacity for sustained artistic endeavors. They learn to select and adeptly utilize a diverse range of graphic, pictorial, and applied materials and techniques. With heightened confidence, they skillfully depict volume, lighting, materiality, and color relationships. Mastery deepens as they frame object and interior constructions, all while immersing themselves in the captivating artistry of Ancient Russia and European masterpieces spanning from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.

FOURTH ART GRADE

In the fourth grade, students exhibit confident prowess in constructing rectangular and rotational bodies in space. They skillfully convey depth in drawings and paintings, expertly sculpting shapes with tone and color. Mastery of color harmonies is achieved, utilizing the plasticity of lines to convey expressive imagery. Backlighting and mood are deftly captured through color manipulation. Students delve into human head structure and dive into the rich artistry of Russian XVIII–XIX century and 19th-century Western European art. This grade marks a pinnacle of artistic growth.

FIFTH ART GRADE

In fifth grade, students acquire a fine arts lexicon and skillfully depict real-world objects from memory and observation. They craft artistic visions by tackling technical and creative challenges, adeptly overcoming obstacles in concept implementation. Proficiency shines as they portray reality with light-air perspective and natural illumination. Mastery extends to working with preparatory materials, conveying volume, texture, and form, and understanding object placement. They grasp the evolution of fine arts and apply theoretical knowledge to their artistic endeavors. Gifted students possess a comprehensive skill set that paves the way for professional mastery in the realm of fine arts.

Perfoming Art

1) Class “Acting Skills” (ACTING) Classes are based on the theory and practice of the acting school (with a focus on children's age). The training is based on the theory of stagecraft of the actor, director, and teacher, K.S. Stanislavsky. The lessons offer tasks, exercises, and games aimed at helping children learn to concentrate, listen, interact, and improvise in given circumstances, as well as speak clearly and understandably, not be afraid of the stage and public speaking, and have the ability to move on stage. The class will help children get rid of “stiffness” and shyness and become confident, open, sociable, and interesting people. Class includes: - a plastic warm-up with elements of stage movement and simple acrobatics; - speech training (exercises on articulation, diction, proper breathing, voice training); - work with literary texts and text analysis (tongue twisters, poems, fables, prose); - acting training (games, exercises, sketches); - staging excerpts, episodes, and performances.
2) Class “Speech Technique” The class will help you learn to speak correctly. The class is based on training and exercises for the development of the speech apparatus in articulation, diction, proper breathing, and voice production. The class includes work with literary texts. If you want to be heard, you need to speak so that you are heard. This is precisely the skill that oratory teaches. The ability to speak clearly and intelligibly is necessary not only for people in “speech” professions—actors, politicians, lecturers, and teachers—but also for those whose profession is not related to constant public speaking. The proposed methodology will allow you to improve your communication skills from the first step.
3) Class “Movement and Plasticity" The goal of this class is to learn to “understand” your body and control it in public speaking, learn to get rid of tensions, and feel calm and confident in the circle of familiar and unfamiliar people. The class includes: a plastic warm-up (based on elements of body plastic and jazz-modern dance); stretching; special exercises and training to develop flexibility and mobility of the body, strengthening the muscles of the body; improving attention and coordination of movements; education of expressive hands; and elements of acrobatics.
4) Model class A project for children, teenagers, and adults who would like to: improve their posture and gait; - get rid of complexes and pressures while in public places; - learn to demonstrate clothing models on the catwalk. The model class includes: a plastic warm-up; a set of exercises for good posture; Training in fashion shows showing clothes on the catwalk: beautiful posture, correct gait, the position of the arms, legs, head, and body during the fashion show, turns, racks, facial expressions, technique of displaying different types of clothing. Staging a fashion show can become the final part of the learning process (the New Year's show at the end of the school year).
